Jesus Christ said repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand…

The Kingdom of Heaven is real and it is eternal and Jesus the King, is the only way…

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”  Mark 1:15

How to get to heaven, getting saved, there is a little reading involved, and to get the whole truth it is vital to read the whole text…so please bear with us. It is written in an easy to understand way, just like God’s word, uncomplicated and it really only takes you a few minutes of your time.
Many people thankfully ask How to repent? How to get saved? How do I get salvation? and how do I go to heaven?

Too many of us, just go by what others tell us! Including false teachings with so many cults and theories these days, you want clarity. Many people are far more concerned with day to day stuff and do not take a little time to know real life issues for ourselves! and most of us are caught in a rat race, missing out on the truth, as we said before; be blinded no more! Jesus Christ died on that cross and was resurrected three days later for you to be saved, He took the wages of sin being death upon Himself through death by crucifixion FOR YOU!

The cross is empty, because Jesus Christ rose from the dead to save you

The devil’s greatest trick was to convince the world through deception that he and hell do not exist.

Sin can be forgiven through repentance of sin and turning away from sin and by believing in our heart the Gospel, receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, but denying the Cross leads to eternity in hell. As Jesus said in Matthew 10: 33 “Whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven” 

Being a good person is nice but is not a guarantee for heaven:

So whether you think you live a good, honest and caring life, or whether you consider yourself in need of forgiveness, you still, either way, have to repent and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour and be born again of the spirit. (John 3:3-21)

God created us in his own image and wants us to have an abundant, healthy and prosperous life now and for eternity, through an everlasting relationship with Him, IF WE LET HIM.

Some have been put off by a FALSE Christian, living a sinful life, obviously there are False Christians about, bound by RELIGION, BUT don’t YOU be misled by their bad example.

The key is to become a child of God, to become born again, this time (because we’ve all been born once from the flesh) of the spirit, into the family of God. That is to get saved. (John 3:3 & Eph 4: 21-24)

All the promises are for His Children. He accepts them, because they repent of their sin, live Holy and Righteous according to His will and word and promise to God to turn away from sin and receive Him wholeheartedly through His son Jesus Christ.

None of us, would sacrifice and shed the blood of their son, for any other person, but God did, for us sinners. Jesus was beaten, tortured in the most horrible and agonizing way and eventually crucified to bear our sins. (The film ‘The Passion’ directed by Mel Gibson is the closest and most realistic portrayal of the horrendous suffering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, to the present date, we urge you to watch it if you haven’t seen it yet).

WHAT ARE THE 7 STEPS FOR YOU TO TAKE TO DISCOVER THESE VITAL ANSWERS?

Step 1 – Understand that God’s desire for you is to get to heaven, life abundant and eternal!

We are all born, with the knowledge of God, we can see God’s creation everywhere around us.

The Bible declares: ” I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly “ (John 10:10).

Giving you salvation, eternal life required the supreme sacrifice: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

God desires fellowship and companionship with you. What a wonderful gift the Father has given, yet if God gave His own Son to provide an abundant and everlasting life, why don’t more people have what He has designed for us to receive? It is a question answered by this sobering realization.

Step 2 – Realise that you are separated from God in need of salvation

There is a gap between God and mankind. He has provided a way for us to receive an abundant and eternal life, but people throughout the ages have made selfish choices to disobey God Almighty. These choices continue to cause separation from the Father.

And in Romans 6:23 we read: “For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Every human was created with the ability and need to know God the creator and fellowship with Him. Augustine, a minister who lived during the fourth and fifth centuries, called this longing in each of us “that God-shaped vacuum.”

Every day we hear of people who are rich, famous, stars – people who seem to have the best life can offer – yet they try to fill that empty void in their lives with material things. They even try good works, morality, and religion. Yet they remain empty, for only God, through His Son Jesus, can fill that emptiness.

Step 3 – Accept the fact that God has provided only one solution to sin and separation from Himself.

We must recognize that we are all sinners in God’s eyes, the bible says: “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23) Because of mankind we are all born into sin. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin and people are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. (Rom 3:25)

Jesus Christ, His Son, is the only way to God. Only He can reconcile us to God the Father. Mankind may seek other solutions and worship other gods, but Jesus Christ, alone, died on the Cross for our sins and rose in triumph over the grave and eternal death. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and mankind.

For in John 14: 6 we read, Jesus says: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

God Almighty has provided the only way. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin and rebellion against God by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the dead to justify and reconcile you back to God the Father.

‘And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the flesh’ (1 Tim 3:16)  The birth, crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ were, foretold (prophesied) centuries before the virgin birth of Jesus Christ by the Old Testament Prophets.

NOTE: Lucifer, the fallen arch-angel or Satan – the Devil, rebelled against God in Heaven and was kicked out of Heaven to earth with a third of all the angels that rebelled with him (those fallen angels are demons) (Isaiah 14: 12-17) Satan, the Devil is real and now rules the earth and is out there like a roaring lion. All he does is deceive, steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10), he is the enemy of your soul and his objective is to DECEIVE you so that you end up in everlasting hell. Satan must be destroyed once and for all, this will happen in what is known as the return of Jesus Christ to earth in the End Times.

Step 4 – Repent to receive salvation and Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord

 Getting to heaven. You can be reconciled /redeemed back to God and your relationship with Him can be restored by trusting in Christ alone to save your life from destruction. What an incredible exchange: Your worst for God’s best!

This step happens as God gave us free will, by asking Jesus Christ to come into your heart to be your Lord and Saviour and by becoming born again.

God’s Word is very clear: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any person hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

Is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus Christ into your heart right now?

Are you willing to let go of your burdens and sins?

Are you willing to repent (ask for forgiveness) and turn away and from your sins?

Are you willing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour now?

Are you willing to live the rest of your life for Jesus and by His word?

Step 5 – Pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

At this moment you can pray, find a place where you cannot be disturbed, BUT when you pray this prayer you must really mean it, all of it, and do it with all your heart, you are making a vow, a covenant with God, who looks at and sees all the thoughts and intents of your heart, kneel down and speak it out loud and clear, if you need help feel free to call us, to pray the most important prayer of your life by praying:

Dear Father,
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God.
I believe You came to earth 2,000 years ago. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended to heaven. I believe You are coming back again to earth.
Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. Forgive my sin. I promise to turn away from sin and I forgive ALL those who have sinned against me.
Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. I now open the door of my heart, come into my heart Lord Jesus. Save my soul right now.
I surrender my life to You. I receive You now as my personal Lord and Saviour, I now close the door of my heart with you Lord inside.
I am Yours forever, and I will serve You, study the Bible and follow You forever! From this moment on, I belong to You only. I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul, I renounce Satan and the kingdom of darkness. I break every curse spoken or placed over my life in Jesus name.
I love You Lord Jesus and praise You, For saving me today.
Amen!

By praying this prayer, repenting of your sins, promising to turn away from sin and to follow Jesus and live holy and righteous by God’s word and receiving Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His forgiven child. The Bible gives you this assurance: “But as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become the children of God, even to them which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1: 12-13).

If His plan is not perfectly clear, read it again or call us. Your soul is worth more than all the world. Jesus says: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)

STEP 6 – Unite with a Bible believing – Bible teaching Church/ Fellowship and get water baptised!

You should unite with a Bible believing – Bible teaching Christian church/fellowship without delay and pray with the pastor. A pastor is the leader of the church whom the Lord uses to care for you spiritually. Joining a church is biblical, it prevents you to become isolated in your faith, furthermore pastors are ordained by God to teach and to watch and pray over their congregation. Church membership is imperative. Another biblical word for pastor is shepherd who feeds and cares for the flock.

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men (publicly), him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.” (Jesus says in Matthew 10: 32)

And trust us, a bible believing & teaching Christian Church/ fellowship with born again Christians filled with the Holy Spirit is not at all boring. It is filled with joy, rejoicing the Lord with music, song, worship, preaching, prayer, fellowship and bible teaching.

HOW TO FIND a Bible believing and Bible teaching Christian Church or fellowship:
Pray and ask the Lord to lead you to a God fearing shepherd! Just go and visit some in your area and the Lord will lead you.

WHY IS CHURCH / CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP MEMBERSHIP SO VERY IMPORTANT? 

As a Christian, it is essential for your spiritual growth and to keep your faith strong, that you fellowship with other believers (Hebrews 10:25).

We should not be isolated from the rest of the body of Christ, but should share our gifts and our wisdom for the benefit of all (1 Corinthians 12:7).
Worshipping together unites our voices and spirits in praise. Hearing the Word of God from the pulpit feeds us scripturally and spiritually. Congregational prayer encourages the sharing of our burdens, while drawing support and strength from members of our church/ fellowship, your Church Family. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” –  Galatians 6:2 Finally, testimonies about God’s work in the lives of others also encourage our faith.

STEP 7 – the final step: RECEIVE THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT!

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” (Matthew 3:11)

Besides the water baptism by immersion, as read earlier, John the Baptist explains here in Matthew 3:11, that Jesus will baptize with the Holy Ghost and fire.

The Holy Spirit, the third entity of the trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) is the gift and promise from the Lord Jesus Christ to all true believers.

‘But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he (the Holy Spirit) shall teach you all things…’ (John 14:26)
Act 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” 

Getting to heaven is of course eternally important, but once saved the Lord wants to empower you, isn’t that incredible.
Without the Holy Spirit baptism there is a real big danger of becoming luke warm (Jesus said better be cold then luke warm, which He will spit out of His mouth [Rev 3:15-16], because a luke warm Christian is like the foolish virgins [Mat 25], there is no substance to his/her faith, it is a form of godliness denying the power thereof [2 I’m 3:5].
Why, because it is the power of the Holy Spirit that guides us, teaches us, transforms us, convicts sin in our life and if you willingly daily nail your sinful desires to the cross the fruits of the spirit will give you power over sin and temptation, gives you the true understanding of God’s word and brings deep and lasting peace.
Jesus said the baptism in the Holy Ghost is the promise of the Father to all believers, Apostle Paul said since you have believed have you received the gift of the Holy Ghost?
It is for every believer! It transforms the believer into the supernatural, because the baptism in the Holy Ghost comes with 9 amazing spiritual supernatural gifts, like speaking in tongues a prayer language from the Kingdom of God.

So besides the Holy Spirit living (abiding in you) the Lord Jesus wants and has provided for you to also be BAPTISED in the HOLY GHOST and Fire (Mathew 3:11 also read Acts chapter 1, 2 and 19)

The fruit of the Holy Spirit produces the character traits that are found in the nature of Jesus Christ, as it is His Spirit abiding in you. The power of the Holy Spirit and its many gifts (like: discernment over evil spirits, speaking in tongues, interpreting and prophesy) gives us the vital power over the enemy of our soul Satan the devil, it keeps us in alignment with God who can communicate with you, speak to your spirit, remember it is a two-way relationship.

The Holy Spirit keeps us on the straight and narrow path, helps us grow and mature to the full stature of Christ and to actually walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh!

Act 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: (18) And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:”

PRAYER FOR THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT – Acts 1:8  “ye shall receive power after which the Holy Ghost has come upon you”

Father, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, that You would search me and show me if there is any disobedience in my heart.
Please show me if there is any person I have withheld forgiveness from.I purpose to obey and forgive no matter what You reveal to me.You said if I asked You for the Holy Spirit baptism You would give this to me.
With joy I now ask in faith; please baptize and fill me at this moment with Your Holy Spirit.
I receive all You have for me and the gift to speak in tongues, your heavenly Kingdom of God language.
So now in faith I receive the gift of speaking in new tongues in Jesus name!
Amen!

HELPFUL WISDOM NOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED:

Periodical fasting is very important in your Christian walk to get closer to God and grow spiritually. We encourage you to talk to your pastor or minister on how to fast, furthermore we encourage you to attend Bible Study and regular prayer meetings in your church/ fellowship, praying in agreement with others is a very strong way of praying. (Mat 18:19)

When you have received salvation becoming born again, you will love worshipping the Lord and fellowship regularly with other believers in your bible believing-bible teaching church/ fellowship. You will have a desire to know God’s word. You’ll love reading and learning God’s word. You will have the same intense desire to commune with the Lord through daily prayer.

Daily Steps:

  • Read your bible daily, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of the truth”(2 Tim 2:15).
    We suggest you start reading St. John, which teaches you about salvation. We recommend only the original (Authorized) King James Version (KJV) of the Holy Bible and strongly warn against misleading ‘new age’ versions, see our section ‘The Bible – reading advice’ on this site for extensive evidence.
  • Pray daily, praying is communicating with your heavenly father and your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
  • Remember being a born again Christian, following Jesus and living by God’s will and word, is a way of life ~ a personal relationship with Jesus our Lord and Saviour (NOT a religion !!!)
  • Tell others how to get to heaven. Share your faith with other people, be a witness and testify your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in your workplace, to your friends, to your family, in your neighbourhood and to strangers. For example give out tracts (booklets) on a Saturday morning, it gives you a great feeling of fulfilment, even if it’s only for an hour or two and the Lord will bless you.
