The importance of breaking curses

First and foremost I urge you to read the salvation page ‘how do i get saved’ page on this website, unless you are already saved, born again. If you are not sure read that page as well first. Breaking curses is only possible when you have repented from your sins and embraced Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior living a life for the Lord Jesus Christ.
I cannot stress this enough, genuine heartfelt repentance and sorrow for sins before a Holy God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit is the most important thing and breaks the most important curse, the curse of damnation. As the Word of God declares, those who are not saved are damned. “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Gospel of St John chapter 3 verses 17 and 18.

On this page I want to address under the unction of the Holy Spirit the importance of breaking curses, to live the promised scriptural abundant life and to be able to bear fruit for the Lord as required of us. There are different types of curses, as I’ll describe underneath, but a curse in principle holds a person back from living a successful and abundant life in Christ Jesus in one area or in many areas. You will understand as you read and be breaking curses.

Curses are NOT automatically broken when we receive Salvation, become born again. I can confirm that to you, as an international evangelist and as a deliverance minister having conducted thousands of deliverances on born again Christians for over 20 years, that curses are a reality and that they must be broken to receive breakthrough, healing, deliverance, fruitfulness, abundance and prosperity. Breaking curses is imperative. I have ministered to many that were simply not able to speak to break a certain curse. They couldn’t speak, confess out loud to break a specific curse. The curse is sometimes so powerful that it takes ministry through the Holy Spirit to bring about the breaking thereof. I’m not saying this to frighten you, but to make you realize that dealing with curses is important.

So Galatians 3:13 must not be miss-interpreted, the Lord Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law and more importantly He conquered death, hell and the grave, He overcame all the powers of Satan the devil, so that now we as born again Christians, as redeemed children of the Father through the precious blood of Jesus, have the authority (Luke 10:19) to break curses in His name, the name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above every name. The Apostle Paul makes an important statement in 2 Corinthians 4:2 “But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God”. KJV and the NIV reads: “we have renounced secret an shameful ways”. Whatever had been negative in the past towards Christ they had renounced. So besides breaking curses, renouncing the spirits behind them, in the same authority of Jesus Christ, in His name we renounce all oaths, vows, covenants, ceremonies and rituals. If there is a curse effective in your life, due to a word curse, a generational curse, a curse from evil vows and oaths, a witchcraft curse, then that is the the open door for Satan to attack your life, until you break and renounce that curse in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Types of Curses

BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES

The Bible says in Exodus 34:7 (cross ref Ex 20:5) “Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].” KJV. The word generation is printed italic or in brackets, this means that it is not in the original Hebrew text, doing further Bible research this then explains that this is perpetual and doesn’t stop at the 4th generation, 3rd and 4th point towards degrees of iniquity and not to generations. So the word of God makes it clear that curses can pass on from generation to generation, that is a generational curse, passed on through the bloodline from the ancestors. Medical science agrees that diseases can pass on generational, as well as addiction or alcoholism, so a generational curse is well understood. The Lord tells us in His word that these generational curses come about as a consequence of sin of the ancestors, hence we must renounce (note it says renounce!, because we cannot and don’t have to repent on their behalf, you repent only for yourself) those sins and break the curses inherited from our ancestors. Often we know of certain possible curses that affect the family line, on the father’s and the mother’s side. However we normally don’t know what sin, vow, ritual, etc. has been committed by all our ancestors.

Renounce all sins, transgressions and iniquity of all your ancestors including parents and grandparents in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Renounce the ancestor’s idol worship, evil dedications, sacrifices to idols, their blood shed and their evil vows and oaths in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Break every generational curse in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ over your yourself and over your children and grandchildren and all future generations. Pull down any strongholds inherited in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Bind and rebuke every inherited spirits in Jesus name.

Breaking Curses from the Occult and Witchcraft

Any involvement in the Occult, Witchcraft, Sorcery, Occult Religions, Ungodly Vows and Oaths, Rituals, Ungodly Dedications and ceremonies, Freemasonry, etc. bring about curses.
Evil covenants are established and curses come on the person involved but also on a person they attack with witchcraft.
Satan always involves demon spirits (devils, evil spirits KJV) with curses so the first the curses must be broken in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by the born again believer and then the evil spirit must be cast out.
Break every curse of witchcraft and sorcery in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.  

EATING IN DREAMS IS ALSO WITCHCRAFT

Renounce all eating in dreams in the name of Jesus Christ. Renounce all rituals and ceremonies of witchcraft and sorcery performed against you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray the blood of Jesus over any blood shed against you through witchcraft sacrifices, cancel all evil blood covenants against you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke all spirits in Jesus name. Release the fire of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus to devour any of your points of contacts like photographs, hair, nails, blood, clothes, DNA and handwriting that were placed on evil alters and places of death by those that work witchcraft and sorcery and break the curses from that in the name of Jesus Christ. Renounce all rituals done against you to take captive, bury or steel your glory and your destiny in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Pray and ask the Lord to restore to resurrect your glory and destiny and take it back by force in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ washed in His blood.

BREAKING WORD CURSES

Amongst other chapters, in Deuteronomy 28 God makes a clear distinction between blessings and curses. The power of life and death is in the tongue, to be continued. If a person with spiritual authority over you, like your parents or your spouse or your pastor/ priest, and speaks negatively over you then they speak a curse on you. Parents, spouses and pastors must speak blessings. Some people have had a traumatic childhood and suffered many curses spoken over them by abusive, neglecting parent(s).
Break the curse in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits.
Speak God’s blessings over yourself from Deutronomy 28 and ask the Holy Spirit to bring truth to every lie you may have come to believe.

CURSES OTHERS HAVE CAUSED FOR YOU:

BREAKING REJECTION CURSES

Most commonly from parents, if either parent rejects you totally or emotionally or abandons you that causes the curse of REJECTION on your life. This curses often causes a cycle of rejection in someone’s life, who experiences rejection at school, being bullied, rejection in relationships, failed relationships, rejection in the work place.
Rejection hurts, do not ignore the pain, find someone who you trust to talk about the pain you have suffered, like a close friend or a minister of the church. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer to heal your soul wounds.
Break the curse of rejection in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit.
Also break the relevant other associated curses of abandonment, loneliness, singleness and isolation in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.

BREAKING ABUSE CURSES

If someone is abused that causes the curse of ABUSE on that person’s life and this curses often causes the person to be repeatedly abused, even attracting abusive partners. This curse causes great harm to someone’s life.
Always find counseling from a church to talk about what happened, so that you do not keep all the bad emotions inside. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ in prayer to heal your soul wounds and with miraculous help to forgive the abuser(s) they are still guilty before the Lord and the Lord will judge, but we must forgive. 
Break the curse of abuse in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit.
Also break the relevant other associated curses of perversion, lust, promiscuity and lasciviousness in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.

BREAKING FEAR CURSES

The curse of fear comes on someone’s life because of experiencing fear, more often in childhood when the parent(s) are not making the child feel safe, loved and secure. Fear is a terror and causes pain, false blame, false shame, fear of not being good enough, low self-esteem, self-hatred. Which are all related curses to fear. 
Find someone you trust to talk about the pain from all the above. Break the curse of fear in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit in Jesus name.
Also break the relevant other associated curses of anxiety, doubt, false blame, shame, fear of rejection, self-hatred, fear of failure in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.
Say out loud this verse from the Word of God:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim 1:7)
Pray daily for the Lord to fill your soul and mind with His love, His love is perfect and perfect love casts out fear!
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment” (1 Jhn 4:18)
Breaking curses in Jesus name is powerful and brings forth the blessings of the Lord in your life. Pray Lord help me to receive your perfect love for me.

BREAKING INFIRMITY CURSES

Infirmity, sickness, illness can be the result of the curse of an infirmity curse. The curse of infirmity can be generational or caused through occult practices of parents and grandparents or witchcraft.
Especially if a person is often sick there is quite possibly a curse of infirmity at work. Break the curse of infirmity in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit in Jesus name. 

BREAKING ILLEGITIMACY CURSES

This is a curse mentioned in the scriptures that can last ten generations, it comes on a person’s life if someone is born out of wedlock, so if the parents are not married when the child is born. This curse must be broken so that giving birth out of wedlock will not continue with you or your future generations. Marriage is important before the Lord, it’s called Holy Matrimony for that reason. If you were a parent that had a child out of wedlock, ask the Lord for forgiveness and break the curse over your child.
Break every curse of illegitimacy over your life and or children in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit in Jesus name.

BREAKING CURSES OF LUST

Any exposure to and involvement in immorality brings curses on that person’s life, even watching immorality online or in magazines both video and still images.
Curses of addiction to immorality can also be caused by exposure to watching immorality. Watching it is committing adultery at heart.
A list of curses come from committing or exposure to immorality, including curses of lust, adultery, fornication, masturbation, perversion, incest. Those are the main ones, some I cannot list in order to keep the website clean and accessible for all ages. Children should never be exposed to any immorality, if they have they need prayer.
Break the curse of lust in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit in Jesus name. Also break the relevant other associated curses of immorality, adultery, fornication, masturbation, perversion and incest in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.
Breaking curses will bring forth breakthrough and blessings.

BREAKING CURSES OF FORNICATION

The breaking of the hymen in the virgin woman is the Old Testament marriage blood covenant. This is how Jacob got married to Leah, because he went in on her, he thought he was marrying Rachel but Laban tricked him and sent Rachel’s older sister Leah into Jacob’s tent at night (Genesis 27) That is why it is so important to keep your virginity as a woman and as a man until marriage so you do not enter a covenant with someone outside of God’s will and protection. Hence Paul teaches to flee from fornication (fornication is intimacy outside marriage)
Fornication establishes ungodly soul ties which are like spiritual pipe lines through which spirits can be transferred. When fornicating or committing whoredom the evil spirits from the one can and will enter the other person.
The Bible teaches extensively on getting the lust of the flesh under control because there are serious spiritual consequences and deliverance is necessary. 
Repent and ask the Lord for forgiveness, break every curse of fornication in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, renounce any covenants established with others through fornication and whoredom in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. With a repented and remorseful heart ask the Lord to cut the ungodly soul ties that were established through fornication. Now rebuke the evil spirits received during fornication in the name of Jesus. 

NO INTIMACY IN MARRIAGE CURSE

As you know I have ministered for over twenty years and have been astonished by the large amount of Christian married couples that do not have intimacy in their marriage. I mention this because it is a sin to withhold intimacy by a spouse in the marriage, intimacy was made by God for marriage, it was the original marriage covenant in the Old Testament.  When a spouse withholds from intimacy in the marriage there is an open door for the enemy to attack the other spouse. This can cause a demonic spirit spouse to attack and it can actually cause immorality. If this applies to you ask the Lord for forgiveness, ask your spouse for forgiveness and have intimacy in the marriage. The only time the Word of God speaks on a temporarily refraining from intimacy in marriage is when the woman has her menstrual cycle or when one is fasting.
“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” (1 Cor 7:5)
Break every curse of not having intimacy in marriage in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, divorce any demon spirit spouse in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in the name of Jesus. 

BREAKING SPIRITUAL DEMONIC SPOUSE CURSES

If you have intimacy in dreams that is demonic, these are spirit spouses, either a spiritual demonic husband or a spiritual demonic wife. They can come in the likeliness appearance of your actual spouse don’t be fooled this is intimacy with demon spirits. Renounce any spiritual marriage in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and renounce any contact and intimacy with demon spirits in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.

BREAKING INCUBUS AND SUCCUBUS CURSES

The evil spirit of incubus is demon spirit with a male manifestation which attacks through having real intercourse with a woman. So this is a lot deeper and more troublesome than having intimacy in dreams. This will need strong prayers and fasting.
The female manifestation is the succubus spirit and attacks through real intercourse with a man causing climax. 
Both need serious prayer and fasting. Pray and fast and ask the Lord to reveal the root cause. 
Break every curse of incubus and succubus over your life in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and renounce any caused spiritual pregnancy in Jesus name and release ‘lose’ Holy Ghost first to destroy any bodily fluids taken by the spirits in Jesus name and rebuke the spirits in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

BREAK ASTRAL PROJECTION CURSES

Astral projection is an occult witchcraft practise where a witch or a warlock leaves their physical body with their spirit in order to ‘spirit travel’ to astral project. This is high level witchcraft but very real. Whilst travelling outside of their body in their spirit they could try to attack a person, even be intimate with that person. In this case prayer and fasting is needed to discern and get deliverance. However when they are astral travelling if they see the blood of Jesus and they are in the spirit and they do see the blood of Jesus over believers and when they do they cannot get near. Keep pleading the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over yourself and your household every morning and every night.
Break every curse of astral projection in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, ask the Lord to cut all demonic chords and rebuke every spirit in Jesus name. 

BREAK BARENESS CURSES

There are different types of bareness, spiritual bareness, physical bareness, financial bareness. These curses can have come from ancestors, parents, and very often from witchcraft.
Related curses are miscarriages, singleness, loneliness, isolation, poverty. Break every curse of bareness over your life and all relevant related curses in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.
If you need the fruit of the womb, I pray you shall have the fruit of the womb in Jesus Holy name. Breaking curses let’s blessings flow.

BREAKING THE CURSE OF SUICIDE AND MURDER

This is a curse that has been on the increase, in today’s age we unfortunately see murders committed by not just adults but children. There is a real curse of murder and there is a spirit of murder. Mental health problems are also on the increase in today’s Western society and suicide rates are up. A curse of suicide and a curse of murder can be generational but also from committing abortion and drug abuse and even through an inner-vow made in anger.
In any case break every curse of murder, abortion and suicide in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirit in Jesus name. Related curses are anger and rage so break every curse of anger and rage in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.

BREAKING CURSES FROM CURSED GIFTS

Beware of gifts, if someone has deliberately given you a cursed object and you have accepted that gift or object then there is a curse that needs to be broken. Typical cursed objects given by people operating in witchcraft are clothes and shoes. Be vigilant many people had been cursed by things given to them by church person even in leadership who were actually secretly operating in witchcraft and subsequently giving church members cursed objects. Certain objects like books, statues and masks purchased can also bring curses into your house. Pray and be lead by the Holy Spirit which items are cursed and must be disposed of. Break every curse from cursed gifts over your life in Jesus Christ name break every curse from purchased books and objects in the name of Jesus Christ and rebuke the spirits in Jesus name.
